This is me in Sudbury with a gold medal in
High Jump and a bronze in 1500m run. I'm
eleven years old (grade 6).

I have been High jumping since I was 11 years old. I did jump earlier then that but I took interest when I was 11. It started when I won at my public school and bet the school record I jumped 1.33m. Then I moved on to the district H legion Championship in Sudbury whitch covers an area from Parry Sound to Sault ste Marie. I jumped 1.35m to win gold. From that year on my high jumping went up and up. When I was in grade 7 I jump 1.45 winning at Sudbury for the second time. In Grade 8 I went to the same track meet and got first with a jump of 1.55m. It was very tuff competition because I was competing against grade nines. In grade nine I took High jumping to a new level and went to Branford for the all Ontario Championship's and placed 5th in my age group, 14 & 15 year olds. I jump 1.65m that day. In grade ten I won the North Shore Championship with a jump of 1.72m. From there I went to the Northern Ontario Championship and choked and only jumped 1.67m. The winner jumped 1.69m. In grade eleven I had an ok year I won North Shore meet (NSSSA) and got forth at NOSSA, with a jump of 1.87. Now Grade 12 I had a great year I won NSSSA and Broke the NSSSA record with a jump of 1.93m, the record was 1.88m. I also broke the school record whitch was 1.90m. I moved on to NOSSA and won there with a jump of 1.94m and bet my own school record that I set at NSSSA. After NOSSA I went to OFSSA witch is the all Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association Championship. I went into the competition rank second in the province and only jump 1.90m and got sixth out of 23 guys. Now I am training for the year 2000 track season with I hope to jump over 2m.
